In order to volunteer in any of the ways listed above, ALL VOLUNTEERS, must complete the Mandated Volunteer Training.  Please see the instructions listed below.

STEPS FOR COMPLETING THE MANDATED VOLUNTEER TRAINING:
1.Read the Volunteer Code of Conduct (Located in the office or viewed at this link http://www.monroe.k12.ga.us/files/_hQBVq_/3aacbd90167391ac3745a49013852ec4/VOLUNTEER_Code_of_Conduct_Monroe_County_School_System.pdf)

2.Complete the Volunteer Safety Information Form turned in to Brandi Pye (Located in the office or can be printed from this link http://www.monroe.k12.ga.us/files/_hQBY5_/eb9370d801e392e03745a49013852ec4
/Volunteer_Information_Form_FY13_Monroe_County_School_System.pdf )

3.View the online Volunteer Child Abuse Training video (located at this link http://www.monroe.k12.ga.us/pages/Monroe_County/Parents/Volunteers/Child_Abuse_Training_Video)

4.Complete Volunteer Child Abuse Training Completion Form turned in to Brandi Pye (Located in the office or can be printed from this link http://www.monroe.k12.ga.us/files/_hQBYB_/709787963555f9e73745a49013852ec4/Volunteer_Child_Abuse_Mandated_Reporter_Training_Completed_Form.pdf)

5.Complete the Volunteer Assurances Form/Quiz online only and submit (http://www.monroe.k12.ga.us/pages/Monroe_County/Community/Volunteers/Volunteer_Assurances_Form)

6.If the volunteer scores 100% then their official badge will be delivered to me within 24 to 48 hours and if I have their paperwork from steps two and four then I will be able to contact them to pick up their official badge as soon as I receive it.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
• ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST CHECK IN AND OUT AT THE FRONT DESK EVEN IF THEY HAVE COMPLETED THE TRAINING AND RECEIVED THEIR OFFICIAL BADGE.
• IF A VOLUNTEER DOES NOT SCORE 100% ON THE QUIZ, THEN THEY WILL NOT RECEIVE A BADGE
• IF A VOLUNTEER ADMITS TO A FELONY CHARGE, THEN THEY WILL NOT RECEIVE A BADGE
• ONCE THE QUIZ HAS BEEN SUBMITTED IT CAN TAKE UP TO TWO WEEKS TO RECIEVE A BADGE (IN MOST CASES THE BADGES ARE PROCESSED WITHIN 2 BUSINESS DAYS BUT DEPENDING ON VOLUME, IT CAN TAKE LONGER).  SO IF SOMEONE PLANS ON ATTENDING A FIELD TRIP THEN THEY MUST COMPLETE THIS TRAINING ASAP!  DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE OR THEY MIGHT NOT GET THEIR BADGE TO ATTEND THE FIELD TRIP!
• IF I DO NOT HAVE THE PAPERWORK THAT HAS BEEN COMPLETED THEN I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONTACT THE VOLUNTEER WHEN I RECEIVE THEIR BADGE.
• IF A VOLUNTEER HAS NOT COMPLETED THE TRAINING AND DOES NOT HAVE AN OFFICIAL BADGE, THEN THEY CANNOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ATTEND FIELD TRIPS OR VOLUNTEER AT THE SCHOOL.
• IF A VOLUNTEER DOES NOT HAVE COMPUTER ACCESS OR CANNOT COMPLETE THE TRAINING ON THEIR OWN, THEN THEY CAN VISIT MY OFFICE ON MONDAYS OR TUESDAYS AT KBSES OR WEDNESDAYS AND THURSDAYS AT MCMS AND I WILL BE HAPPY TO WALK THEM THROUGH THE TRAINING.
