Following a second briefing with the National Weather Service, Monroe County Schools is announcing the following schedule adjustments for the rest of the week. We will operate under an abbreviated schedule on Thursday, September 26, 2024. All schools will dismiss at 12:30 pm. All after-school activities on Thursday, September 26 have been canceled, including the MPHS Homecoming Parade. Monroe County Schools will be closed to all students and staff on Friday, September 27, 2024. We will assess the situation following the storm and make a decision regarding the Homecoming football game scheduled for 7:30 pm Friday night. Monroe County is under a Tropical Storm Watch and a Flood Watch. On the current track, the National Weather Service says our biggest threat is heavy rain, possible flooding, strong winds, and isolated tornadoes. To receive further updates, please make sure your contact information is updated in Infinite Campus. We will use this information to call or text you if we make any adjustments to the school schedule.
